Sushi is good but rolls a bit loose. Service is excellent
Great variety of fish. The uni was great and quite cheap. Really enjoyed this restaurant
Amazing sushi. For me the best price to quality have found in the city. Always greeted by the smiling sushi master! Consistently great
A gem and then I read it's a top ten off the grid place for fresh sushi. Well priced!
I meet friends in this great spot quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are very tasty, the team is professional and the rates are affordable. I enjoy meeting in this restaurant over a nice lunch.
One of the best Sushi Restaurants in vancouver
Fast for lunch, but very expensive (eg $8 for California roll)
It's good but greatly overpriced
Really good quality sushi!
I've only been to Vancouver twice and everytime I made an effort to especially visit Kaide. I love the nigiri sushi here, especially a la carte. The ingredients are fresh, and the sushi rice is on point. Not to mention, the price is also pretty good!
The sushi combo was perfect and was a great value for such high quality food. It was a perfect portion and a good selection of fish. The fish was high quality, delicious and had no fishy after tastes. The restaurant was clean and had great service. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Exceptional and flavorful food, I liked the character the spot has, and the cashiers were very nice. Will definitely visit here next time.
The sushi in this place is out of this world. It is located somewhere that you wouldn’t guess how good this place is. It was different experience from all other sushis I have ever had. Definitely try the Toro, and chopped scallop.
The sushi here is great and it's in a pleasant quite location.
The sushi is pretty fresh here, but the service was not the best. They don’t have any gyoza, or tempura of any sort, so don’t expect to eat anything other than fish here.
Not your typical sushi place. Once you try this place, you won't go to other sushi places. The food is exceptional. Their seafood salad is to die for. Staff and chef are friendly.
Hidden little hole in the wall with incredibly fresh sushi and friendly service. Music isn't overbearingly loud like most places, so you can actually have a conversation and have a peaceful meal here
Excellent fresh sushi. The Kaide assorted sushi is a great deal. Sushi choices changes everyday.
Too Expensive for what you get. I am a local of many years and have eaten at many sushi places. I don’t have a problem with the quality. I just see so many tricks being done to maximize their profit which I would imagine is high. There are other places at this price point that I would recommend.
Been here a few times now. The fish is definitely tasty for sure. The service is good. Some items I find a little more pricey than other similar restaurants. Overall, I would recommend and come again for sure!
Love this authentic sushi bar. Happy staff and quality fish.
Best quality and priced fish in town. Low key decor with upscale food. Great, friendly staff and chefs.
By far my favourite sushi place in town. The Spicy Tuna Don is out of this world good - always fresh. 8 years ago I was taken there by a friend and I've been going back ever since. You will not be disappointed.
I dream of this sushi. Always fresh, always so flavourful and the service is always welcoming
OMG! the Blue Fin Tuna is so fresh, as well as Toro Belly. Best ingredients.
Had their chef's special sashimi. So yummy! From middle counterclockwise: butter fish, spot prawn, scallops with ikura (fish eggs) on top, salmon, hamachi, tuna, then madai (one with skin). The hamachi and madai are soooo good! Totally worth the higher price compare the regular sashimi.
Nice vegan sushi with not too much rice in the rolls
Growing up in Vancouver, on the water there isnt a place better to eat. Good food, amazing staff and really nice design. The restraunt has a 'family' feel and the staff made me feel at home. 10/10 would reccomend to everyone.
Always get delicious sushi here.
Great sushi. Served by Japanese. Reasonable prices.
If I could give this 3.5 I would, but I don’t want to give a small business 3. The first time we went here about a year ago, we loved it, so we’re looking forward to coming back. The positives, quite good price, the sashimi was very generous and yummy. The negatives for this time. Service was poor, and we had to ask for water and try and catch the waitress for more tea. Not so attentive versus others. No brown rice, but I can live with that. The menu was quite restrictive although they do have 5 special seafoods. Some may like this though, I however like to mix it up. Overall not as good as last time and having been to four others on this one month trip back, it’s probably and sadly the last favourite.
One of my favorite sushi spots. Has been for over 10 years actually. Excellent grade sashimi.
Cozy, friendly service and the food is oh so delicious!
an authentic japanese sushi place. not over priced. great service. basic atmosphere, but quality of the food (especially the nigiri) makes up for the simple atmosphere.
Fresh and very friendly service. Okay for group lunch gathering. I wish they gave a little more rice with the chirashi. Many interesting rolls which I will try when I return. No udons on the menu however. It seems that they accept credit card as payment but no taps, and also you cannot put in your PIN but you have to sign the slip instead.
Really great, high quality fish and a friendly and imaginative staff. Wish they were open for lunch!
I honestly think this place is way too pricey. The roll is so small compare to other restaurants and for the same sushi roll the price here is much higher. The taste is pretty good but I know other places that are way cheaper and better tastes. The miso soup is very salty! I think they put soy sauce in it. Wouldn't come back again.
Little bit expensive but food & service is so great! :)
Popped in for a light lunch and was not disappointed! The scallop roll was amazing and the staff is very polite/attentive. 10/10 would go again.
Best tamago in town. Amazing quality of fish
Small Japanese sushi bar, sashimi is fresh and price is reasonable. Street parking is available. Good for small groups and casual but quality dinning.
Great place! Best sockeye salmon we ever had! Mango/Salmon Roll was awesome too!
Pretty good sushi, but the price is around 60% higher than what you'd pay for decent sushi in, say, Richmond. Size is also quite small. See picture for reference. I'd give five stars if the prices were in line with other sushi places, but the price is just way too high.
My favorite little corner in Vancouver. Wonderful staff, exceptional ambiance, and great food. You must try this place!
Awesome sushi and nigiri!
Excellent nigiri on perfectly packed sushi rice. Super fresh ingredients including local uni. Tasty rolls as well, in particular the Tofino roll!
